Stepnie – Drive
This project addresses the challenges faced by taxi drivers, taxi owners, and
passengers. These include drivers’ unfamiliarity with highway routes, passengers not
receiving a chauffeur-driven experience, and the inefficiency of manual bill book
systems for trip management.
The proposed solution is a digital platform that improves passenger experience by
delivering a premium chauffeur-driven service, assists drivers with real-time
navigation and service recommendations, and provides taxi owners with a
comprehensive tool for trip and payment management. Additionally, the platform
facilitates partnerships with vendors (restaurants, hotels, and service centers) along
highways, thereby enhancing efficiency and profitability for all stakeholders.
With a robust revenue model based on subscription fees and commissions, the
platform aims to generate a daily profit of ₹1,00,000, becoming a sustainable and
profitable venture
What is the problem we are solving?
Core Problem: The taxi industry operates in a fragmented, driver-neglectedsystem where platforms focus on bookings but ignore driver enablement, operational efficiency, and ecosystem integration.
Highway Travel Problem: Intercity drivers lack structured support such asverified rest Hotel facilities, emergency coordination, and trusted vendornetworks for food, fuel, and repairs—leading to stress, inefficiency, andinconsistent passenger experience.
Manual & Unstructured Operations: Taxi owners, driver and small sizevendors still today rely on physical bill books and informal payment tracking, resulting in revenue leakage, poor data visibility, and limited scalability.
Income Gap Problem: Drivers depend only on trip fares with no structuredsystem for additional earnings, rewards, or vendor commissions, whilehighway vendors lack predictable, targeted customer flow.
